Aqua Pro Trenching offers a range of specialist trenching machines including both tracked and wheeled trenching machines, with the wheeled trenching machine equipped with GPS to enable straight line trenching with sub-2cm accuracy.
Digging Rates
1100m/Hr digging 700mm deep and 125mm wide in Somerville, Victoria
1200m/Hr digging 750mm deep and 125mm wide in Newry, Victoria
800m/Hr digging 1200mm deep and 350mm wide in Tinamba, Victoria
650m/Hr digging 750mm deep and 350mm wide in Pearcedale, Victoria
150m/Hr digging 1.2m deep and 280mm wide in Devon Meadows, Victoria
The wheeled trenchers are backfill capable with their front mounted 6 way blade, and backfilling of the trench is included in the hire rate where it is possible to do so.
The wheeled machines will generally operate on ground that will support a 4WD vehicle and will comfortably trench on quite steep ground. For trenches running across a slope the wheeled machines will handle up to a 15 degree slope through use of the hydraulic axle levelling feature giving a truly vertical trench.
The wheeled trenchers need a minimum of 2.4m wide path on which to operate with a vertical clearance height of 2.4m, they will pile excavated material on both sides of the trench. The minimum offset from a fence or obstacle is approximately 1.1m.
Digging Rates
360m/Hr digging 800mm deep and 450mm wide in Yellingbo, Victoria
500m/Hr digging 850mm deep and 450mm wide in Cranbourne, Victoria
150m/Hr digging 1.5m deep and 450mm wide in Launceston, Tasmania
The tracked trencher has no backfilling capabilities and as such needs the support of an excavator, dozer, grader or for smaller trenches one of the wheeled trenchers to backfill. This backfilling is not included in the base hire rate.
The tracked machine will operate on quite wet ground though the ability to backfill neatly may be compromised depending on the choice of machinery. The tracked machine will handle very steep trenching and can also trench across slopes, though the high side of the trench will be undercut. For larger across slope trenching jobs a level path can be created using a dozer or grader to enable trenching to proceed though this is only economic on larger jobs.
The tracked trencher will need a minimum 2.4m wide path on which to operate and a vertical clearance height of 2.2m. The excavated material can be stockpiled on either side of the trench and a clean edge of trench left. The minimum offset from a fence or obstacle is approximately 950mm.
Trenching speeds are subject to the soil conditions on site and the width and depth of the trench to be dug and no guarantee can be made as to the likely time frame for a given trench to be dug.
All of the trenchers are capable of digging soils and softer mud stone only and as such any solid rock that is encountered is not the responsibility of Aqua Pro and will need to be removed by another means.
For maximum value for money the wheeled trenchers are cost effective for trenches in open ground from around 100m in length. For the tracked machine in view of its float charges the minimum length for cost effective use is around 300m. All of the trenchers are hampered by obstacles such as fences and drainage ditches and will need support of a backhoe or excavator to cross these effectively. Aqua Pro can supply an excavator to do this at an extra charge if a machine is not available on site.
The location of existing services on site is the responsibility of the hirer and all care will be taken by the operator to protect them. Aqua Pro can have services located by prior arrangement at an additional charge.
Floating of the machines to site incurs an additional cost.
